Government Drug Inspector (Group A Officer)

Job Overview

UPSC is conducting recruitment for Drug Inspectors under the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO). Selected officers will execute compliance audits and safety enforcement.

Core Responsibilities

• Inspect pharmaceutical manufacturing units and wholesale distributors.
• Collect suspected drug samples and transmit them to Central Laboratories for testing.
• Investigate regulatory deviations, fake drugs, and represent CDSCO in judicial courts.

Key Requirements & Skills

• Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences from a recognized university.
• Minimum 18 months of practical experience in manufacturing of active substances.
• Sound understanding of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
